Our Tiny Moments sessions have been designed especially for newborn babies up to three months old. These are longer relaxed sessions to allow plenty of time for feeding and settling your baby typically between 2-3 hours in the studio, I know what you are thinking, why so long? More on that later. We recommend the best time for these sessions to take place is when baby is between 7 and 14 days old. Your baby is still very much a new-born at this stage and are most likely to be sleepy and curly.
Booking your newborn photography session whilst pregnant, after your scans, is strongly recommended to secure your session. We keep all sessions as flexible bookings with the ability to move bookings depending on your little ones exact arrival, as we know sometimes things just don’t go to plan with earlier and late arrivals.
Session fees
The session fee is payable at time of booking to secure your session, the fee includes your time in the studio, we supply all props, accessories and backgrounds required for the photo shoot. The session fee includes two 8x6” prints and two digital image files that you can choose from your online gallery.
Pre session consultation
When you enquire about your newborn photography session with us, we will discuss with you availability and our flexible booking terms.
If you would like parent and/or sibling photographs taken this can be included at the beginning of your tiny moment’s session, this will be a mini studio photo shoot using a plain backdrop. Please discuss this with us and for larger family groups a separate family session maybe required. This mini session will be added to your tiny moment’s gallery.
We provide a range of props, accessories, and backgrounds to be able to offer a few different styled set ups for your baby to make the most out of your baby photo shoot. You are welcome to bring any outfit or item with you to be included, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate this into our plan for your newborn photos. If you have seen a particular style photograph on our website or social media that you would like us to recreate, please mention this too. We will try to accommodate all special requests.
During the session
You will be welcomed into the studio and given time to settle, we have comfy seats and a coffee machine for parents. We will commence with any parent or sibling photographs typically first, if this has been arranged. Then siblings have the option to leave as we know a long session in the warm studio for the new-born may not be ideal for other little ones to wait around for.
We will commence your baby’s session with multiple looks to create a beautiful collection of images for your gallery. New-born’s will need to be settled and ideally sleeping for the posed styled images. As we know every baby is different and some settle quicker than others but there is no rush on the day. Sessions typically take between 2-3 hours to complete. A sleeping baby will be able to be posed into position for the best results. We will include some awake images of your little one too.
After the session
We will contact you two weeks after your studio session with a secured password protected link to your online gallery. After your new born photography session in the studio, we will edit your images and provide you with approximately twenty to thirty finished images. You can view these in a password protected gallery. We believe in giving our clients choice and no pressure, we do not believe in hard sells. This way you can view your images in the comfort of your own home as many times as you wish before choosing your prints and products.
Viewing / ordering images
The online gallery will be able to be viewed for up to 6 months after your studio session. If you wish you can share the password with friends and family to view and order prints from. Order of Digital images are available to download straight away, prints and products can have a 2-3 week turn around but are usually much quicker.
